Super nice service; cozy ambience. I ate the Veg Biryani, which was way too (ginger) spicy, which was not noted on the menu. Maybe it was a mistake, but you couldn't taste anything except ginger. My girlfriend and I then "mixed" and it got better. The curry was excellent and so was the bread! :)

Among other things, we had different lamb dishes - everything was delicious!

The food was ok, but not particularly great. Unfortunately, the map was not very informative. The starter was way too big and the main course was very, very little, but very expensive. There was also no way to get a "mixing plate" to try.

Indian is different ... Food: taste neutral - more like a retirement home canteen.

Service: nice, competent and fast. Location: Clean, cozy, comfortable whether inside or outside. Price / performance ratio: top. Clear recommendation, also when picking up food.

Food is delicious, but you wait forever to place your order. The waiter seemed overwhelmed and not friendly either ... a shame.

Delicious Indian food in a large selection, great selection for vegans, pretty garden, quiet area. In addition, the food was always quick, we always had attentive, friendly staff. Once we ordered, paid in advance and picked up a few days later at the agreed time. That worked smoothly. Even a dog is allowed in if he behaves. I think that's extraordinarily good and worth mentioning, because Bamberg is not necessarily the most dog-friendly place in terms of "eating out and taking your dog with you".

We always like to order and are very happy that Zafran now also has a delivery service :-) Super tasty - super service - super fast Sometimes a little spicy ... but that's probably because I always forget to say "normal spicy" ;-)

We saw the delivery service and are thrilled. The staff was friendly, the portions adequate and the taste was great. In addition, the meals were still hot. So from our side a clear recommendation!

Surprising good Indian place in Germany. Food in Germany not very spicy- so I took Vindaloo. It wasn’t as hot as I would get in Glasgow- but it was pretty hot nonetheless. And tasty. Will come back.

The pub is not kitschy. The food is varied and authentic. Better pre-order at the weekend! Nice garden in summer.

Good variety of Indian food, the pakoras were amazing and the curry, spices in the chicken kadhai (that I had) was good as well but the quality of chicken or rather the way it was cooked was not 100% satisfactory (at least for me) I know other who loved the Bhuna gosht and garlic naan was awesome so overall I won’t mind going there again but guess other indian Resturant’s in nearby town have impressed me so much that it was unfair to give this one a 5-star as well ....

Nicely decorated restaurant. Very good Indian food. Prices are very good. A small selection of Indian drinks is also served. The majority is however normal "German" drinks.

Food is just alright and the ambience is nice. Staff is friendly but the service takes quite long.

Spacious restaurant with outdoor seating. Authentic North Indian cuisine with some vegan options. However the restaurant itself is not even vegetarian, hence only 4 stars - please bring not only food but also Ahimsa from Indian culture to Germany :)

One of the most known Indian Restaurant in Bamberg. The food here contains the original spices and tastes nearly the same as it would in Asian countries. Had Biryani(a traditional Asian dish) today and was really taken away by the taste. The ambiance is really nice and the staff is friendly as well. Wholeheartedly recommended!!

tasty! But the amount of food is too small, you need to mix a lot of rice to eat. 14 euros a small bowl of curry lamb, as shown in Figure 1.

We have been there twice spontaneously and fortunately still got seats. The food is just great and it is also on special requests (not spicy). Everything is freshly prepared and the whole ambiance fits. Gladly again when we are in Bamberg.

Ambience is good, but food quality is less than what is expected and not authentic to indian standards.

Loved the place for its ambience and great service. I had heard good things about the place but the food did disappoint a little. The butter chicken was far from authentic and naans were okay. The Biriyani also failed to live up to the expectation. Go there for more Europeanised Indian food and atmosphere than authenticity.

The ambience is very good. The service is very friendly. The menu is comprehensive. I would recommend the vegetarian dishes over the chicken dishes. From what I felt the Karahi chicken I had was not fresh. It was chewy and the taste of the meat was not fresh, a typical one you find in most restaurants these days most probably frozen meat was used. Other than that the curry tasted adequate.
